I'm packing up to go to Escapade tomorrow (wheeeee!) and my perception of time has turned wonky like it always does when I'm traveling. Airports are always especially surreal. I will often look up from my Kindle and have several oddly calm seconds when I honestly can't remember what city I'm in or where I'm headed … it's as if I've always been sitting at the gate, waiting for something to happen. Anyway, the appropriateness of today's selection becomes apparent pretty quickly in this fic, which is set entirely in an airport. It is beautiful and thoughtful and ultimately hopeful, I think.
