[livejournal.com profile] eekabelle, [livejournal.com profile] mister_b33, and I had a good time today building the round table for the Camelot feasting scenes.

We started out with 144 feet of 2x4s, a bunch of screws, a few nuts & bolts, and some power tools. Pretty soon we had an assembly line going and were churning out trestles left and right.

[livejournal.com profile] mister_b33 came up with a very clever x-wing design that made efficient use of lumber. They even fold flat for storage!

We made 8 trestles in all and topped them with convenient pre-cut 2'x4' hardboard panels. The whole thing will be covered in tablecloths for the shoot, so we're not painting or staining the wood. Voila! Complete seating for 16. Well, except for the part where we've only acquired 3 chairs so far ...

[livejournal.com profile] eekabelle designed the benches that we'll be using in several scenes (the picture, obviously, is of [livejournal.com profile] eekabelle, not the benches). We bought supplies to make them, but were tired out by all our shopping so we decided to watch Muppets From Space instead and leave the benches for tomorrow. A wise choice, I'm sure you'll agree. :)
