Meta art commentary FTW! Deceptively simple at first glance, there's a lot to enjoy with this piece. Gnatkip often makes digital representations of traditional arts & crafts (quilts, cross-stitch, flocked velvet posters, or in this case a cut-out paperdoll chain), which is very cool. Taking these characters (all from different episodes in the first 3 seasons) and stringing them together highlights the "Creepy Little Girls" trope used so often in Supernatural. The format choice is inspired - as paperdolls they become identical, interchangeable symbols. There's also a delightful intersection of cute and creepy that's enhanced by using a traditional girls' handicraft as the medium as well as a deliberately colorful, cartoonish style.
