Post Halloween Sale #1: Bellhop

Story and image
Let's see, what the story behind this one? Not anything too exciting I guess ... the bellhop costume was a new acquisition by D. The suit H is wearing is perhaps hilarious only to me ... I think it makes him look like some exotic and unfamiliar grownup, rather than the worn-jeans-and-holey-t-shirt person I normally hang out with. It's interesting - I used to associate suits with stuffy businessmen and boring formal occasions ... but at work we all dress quite casually and for formal events it's either tuxedos or an extravagant costume ... so suits are something of a novelty to me.
I should probably also mention that those suitcases D is swinging were quite heavy, and it's only her super-human strength (rock climber and ariel dancer in her spare time) that allowed her to blithely swing them back and forth for a solid fifteen minutes ... all the while I'm telling her to "swing them ... but slower! ... and kick your foot out like you're walking ... oh wait! but don't actually take the step yet ... yeah, just hold your foot out right there ... OK, now do that again ... keep swinging!" Anyway, D's quite the trooper. After we'd finished we realized we could have taken all the junk out of the suitcases (normally the suitcases live in the garage holding spare tarps and painting dropcloths) and made them quite a bit lighter. Ummm, and that's all I have to say about that. On to the photo!
I imagine this could be a still from some half-forgotten cinema epic ... maybe The Naughty Bellhop or even Adventures at the No-tel Hotel.
