The odd thing is that I actually took this photo in June, at the ABL summer party. I hadn't done a very good job taking photos last year (too busy having fun, I guess) and wanted to make sure to have some this year. I decided my theme would be people kissing. I got a lot of great shots of people kissing each other, blowing kisses, getting rejected for kisses, etc. My friend here was standing next to a table with the snitch on it when I approached him for a kiss photo; he picked it up and posed with it spontaneously. It gladdened my fangirl heart at the time, but I didn't think too much about it afterward. Then, reading Deathly Hallows yesterday I got to the part where Harry kisses the snitch! I added some words today & voila! New canon-compliant art. :)

I'm just glad it's going to such a good home!

I really had to think hard about whether or not I could justify going over $600 for it - especially in light of the conversation I just had had earlier that day with my kid over why he wasn't getting a Wii at $250.

Hi NakedBee! I've also friended you (as I should have done months ago after I saw that fabulous Snarry Games photoset) and I wanted to thank you so much for Rub A Dub Dub. Such beautiful art, and I'm so glad that I'm the fortunate buyer.

I want to confirm with you the three requests I've made to you for commissions, and I'm so delighted that you're considering them with Mr. Bee. I'll send an email through as well for you.

I'll be back in Australia after 21 August, but regardless of where I'm travelling, Rub A Dub Dub is on display!

Yay! Once again, thank you! My ego may never recover from that auction; I had to restrain myself from telling all my coworkers on Monday why I was wearing such a happy grin all day. :)

Yes, three requests confirmed and I am excitedly already daydreaming about how I might be able to fulfill them, while Mr. Bee bemusedly ponders these new opportunities. I look forward to working out the details over email.
