SG/GK example images
Mar. 17th, 2008 12:28 pmThese are a few things I put together in order to test out how some photographic techniques would look. For once, the photos are completely work safe! In the no nudity sense at least ... it'll still probably be clear that you're goofing off, though. ;)
Time Panorama 1
This is me in the library, hamming it up for the camera. The tripod was kept stationary, but I rotated the camera in place to get a view of all three walls, then seamed everything together in photoshop.

Time Panorama 2
Trying again, this time with some barbie dolls. Tuxedo Ken is Arthur from stanza 1-5. The camera stayed in the same place for all photos, which eliminated the fish-eye look and resulted in a more reasonable aspect ratio for the finished image. On the other hand, I didn't do a great job of planning out the composition - I was going for something more 3-D than before. I achieved that, but with a definite loss of prettiness. Oh well, at least I know what I need to work on! :)

Collage
A few different views of Mulder Ken. There are several places where I want to use this, usually when there's a long description of someone's clothing. Style is blatantly copied from Grand Theft Auto (reference image).

Style Reference
This last image is a bit of silliness in order to try to capture a bit of the look and feel of the project without having to actually go to all the work of taking the pictures myself (thank you, Google image search). I think it highly unlikely that Mr. Momoa will be available for the project, but I can dream, right? The building is Mission Dolores in San Francisco.
