I have recently fallen headlong into Hockey RPF fandom. It's full of awesome! I have never considered myself a sports fan, so this recent obsession has sparked much mocking from friends and family, but I don't care. The fic is really, really good! And there's new canon practically every day during the season! :) The downside is that since it's not fiction, there's even less guarantee than usual that there will be a happy ending (people get injured and don't get to play for ages! my favorite teams lose games! oh noes!). But fic makes it all better, and the Hockey RPF tag on AO3 is really hopping, with new stories posted practically every day.
I have the best intentions of doing a recs post someday, but in the meantime, here's a link to the post that pimped me into the fandom, from that excellent enabler thefourthvine.
Anyway, I decided that I needed a t-shirt to express my new-found hockey love. I just ordered it yesterday, but the digital preview looks like this:
